Templar-Radiant Empty Radiant - Extending Party Heal Range

Post  Bloodlet Fri Feb 17, 2012 11:32 pm

Party Heals have a limited range. This range is a radial range, meaning it will heal all party members within a certain range around the healer if untargeted. The range and number of party members it heals is dependant on the level of the skill and DNA applied.

By targeting a party member before activating the party heal, it moves healing radius to surround the player targeted.

By using this to your advantage you can heal a party member outside of your normal range by targeting a member closer to that player.

Example:
Party heal range is 20 metres
Party member needing healing is 35 metres away outside the range.
Another party member is between you and the member needing healing 15 metres away from you.
By targeting the closer member and casting heal, the heal range will extend to 35 metres and reach the member needing the heals.

This technique will effectively give you a healing range of 40 metres if the party heal range is 20 metres.
As there is no way of knowing the exact distance to any member the effective use of this technique is down to practice, experiance and guestimation.

Please Note:
As Party Heals have a limited number of players it will heal depending on the skill level, this technique will fail if there are more party members between you and the far target than your Heal level is capable of healing.

Templar-Radiant Empty Radiant - Constant Healing

Post  Bloodlet Wed Oct 10, 2012 5:50 am

How to maintain a constant stream of heals without waiting on Cooldown times.

Once you have all 4 Heals available to you there is a sequence to follow allowing you to spam constant heals without having to worry about cooldown times on any of them.

As each of the heals has a different cooldown down time this sequence takes this into account and should not be altered or you'll find yourself standing watching you tank die while waiting for another heal to be ready for use. There should also be a 1 second gap between each heal to keep it fluid (That's 1 second from the end of cast not the beginning Razz )

The all important sequence:

1. Moderate Party Heal

wait 1 second once the cast has finished.

2. Moderate Heal

wait 1 second once the cast has finished.

3. Lesser Party Heal

wait 1 second once the cast has finished.

4. Lesser Heal

wait 1 second once the cast has finished and repeat sequence.

Which heal you actually start with isn't that important and depends largely on the circumstances the important bit is following that heal with the next in this chain.

For example if you have had to run to the player needing healing and hit them with a fast lesser heal while on the move, follow that with a Moderate party heal and then continue with the rest of the chain.

I usually try and start with a party heal purely because party heals don't normally pull aggro where as single target heals can.
