Compounding Guide

There isn't really that much Compounding to do in Requiem since we moved on from Season 1,
but there are still a few items that can benefit from this process.

Compoundable Items:

Basic Xeons
Buff / DeBuff Enchantments
Some High Level Carus Equipment
Some Event items

For this Guide we will be Compounding Simple Basic Xeons into Supernous Basic Xeons.
This will require 20 Simple Basic Xeons.

Compounding can be done using the Compounding Blacksmith NPC's found in most towns.
A 1 hour Compounding tool is also available from the Item mall / Cash Shop for 100 Mall Points.
The Tool allows you to compound anywhere at any time and gives a 50% discount on the cost of the compounding process.
Compounding tools are sometimes also given as Event award items.


How to Compound Basic Xeons:


1. Choose the Compounding option from the Compounding Blacksmith or activate the compounding tool by dragging it from you bag to an action bar and clicking it.

2. Drag 10 Simple Basic Xeons into Slot 1. This will open the Compounding Recipes on the right of the window.

3. Click on the top Recipe option. This is the recipe to make 10 Supernous Xeons. The process success rate will now be shown in the panel below the slots shown as a percentage (%). The process fee will also be shown in Lant.

4. Drag 10 more Simple basic Xeons into slot 2. or click Auto Register.

5. If you are happy with the success rate chance click OK.

6. The process will now either succeed and 10 Supernous Basic Xeons will be added to your bag or it will fail and you will lose the 20 Simple Basic Xeons and the Lant.

7. If you wish to Compound more Xeons simply repeat the process.

Using the recipes in the compound recipe list you are able to compound Basic Xeons in batches of 10 (as above), 50, 100, 500 and 1000.
As there is a risk of failure and losing the Xeons and Lant it is advisable to keep the quantity compounded low.

The success rate of Compounding reduces the higher the Grade of Basic Xeons being compounded.

20 Simple Xeons – 10 Supernous Xeons – 80% Success Rate – Cost = 1,493 Lant.

20 Supernous Xeons – 10 Eximius Xeons – 60% Success Rate – Cost = 8,201 Lant.

20 Eximius Xeons – 10 Rare Xeons – 40% Success Rate – Cost = 29,333 Lant.

20 Rare Xeons – 10 Carus Xeons – 20% Success Rate – Cost = 81,927 Lant.


How to Compound Buff / DeBuff Enchantments:

For this process you will need 4 Buff Enchantments to make 1 Buff Enchantment of the next Level.

1. Open the Compounding window at the Compounding Blacksmith NPC or use a Compounding Tool.

2. Drag 1 Buff Enchantment from your bag to Slot 1. This will open the compounding Recipe on the right of the window.

3. Click on the Recipe option. This is the recipe to make 1 Buff Enchant of the higher level. The process success rate will now be shown in the panel below the slots shown as a percentage (%). The process fee will also be shown in Lant. The stats of the new Buff Enchantment (if successful) will now also be shown in the window below the recipe list.

4. Click Auto Register or drag a Buff Enchantment into slots 2,3 and 4.

5. If you are happy with the success rate chance click OK.

6. The process will now either succeed and 1 Buff Enchantment of the higher level will be added to your bag or it will fail and you will lose the 4 Buff Enchantments and the Lant.

7. If you wish to Compound more Buff Enchantments simply repeat the process.


There is only one option in the Recipe list as you are only able to compound 1 Buff Enchantment at a time.

The success rate of Compounding reduces the higher the Grade of Buff Enchantments being compounded.

4 Ordinary Enchants Lvl 1 – 1 Supernous Enchants Lvl 2 – 80% Success Rate – Cost 46,955 Lant.

4 Supernous Enchants Lvl 2 – 1 Eximius Enchants Lvl 3 – 60% Success Rate – Cost 102,515 Lant.

4 Eximius Enchants Lvl 3 – 1 Rare Enchants Lvl 4 – 40% Success Rate – Cost 209,655 Lant.

4 Rare Enchants Lvl 4 – 1 Carus Enchants Lvl 5 – 20% Success Rate – Cost 382,239 Lant.


Happy Hours and Compounding

During Happy hours the success rate of Compounding is increased by 10%


Advanced Compounding for High Value Items

Improvement Xeons

Slots 5 and 6 are for improvement Xeons
There are several different Improvement Xeons available from the Item Mall / Cash Shop.

Compounding Success Rate Xeon(1) – Increases the Success rate by 10%. One can be placed in each of the 2 remaining slots to increase the success rate by 20%.
The Xeons are often given as Event Reward Items but the Percentages(%) may vary.
Xeon is destroyed during the process.

Compounding Protection Xeon I(1) – Protects the item in slot 1 from breaking if the Compounding fails. The Xeon is Destroyed during the process whether the Compounding was successful or not.

Compounding Protection Xeon II(1) – Protects the items in slots 1 and 2 from breaking if the Compounding fails. The Xeon is Destroyed during the process whether the Compounding was successful or not.

Compounding Protection Xeon III(1) – Protects the items in slots 1, 2 and 3 from breaking if the Compounding fails. The Xeon is Destroyed during the process whether the Compounding was successful or not.

Compounding Protection Xeon IV(1) – Protects the items in slots 1, 2, 3 and 4 from breaking if the Compounding fails. The Xeon is Destroyed during the process whether the Compounding was successful or not.
